Bio

Billy Lombardo has taught English literature and creative writing at the Latin School of Chicago, Wendell Phillips Academy, Roosevelt University, Benedictine University, UCLA Extension, Laurel Springs School, and Global Online Academy. He has coached hundreds of students, from Chicago to Shanghai, through the college application personal essay process. Billy is the author of The C.A.P.E. Crusade: Your Guide to a Great College Application Personal Essay, Morning Will Come, The Logic of a Rose: Chicago Stories, The Man with Two Arms, and Meanwhile, Roxy Mourns.

Billy is the founder of Writing Pros/e, a writing, editing, and coaching business. He is the founder of Polyphony Lit, a student-run, international literary magazine for high school writers and editors. He lives in Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood and teaches at Trinity High School in River Forest, IL.
